During a one week workshop by Jürgen Scheible at Media Lab Helsinki, Kristine Visanen and I created a working prototype of a mobile word game.
In the game, learners arrange a random set of words into meaningful or playful sentences and collaboratively tell stories. The sentences of each player are displayed online in real time. The game presents a creative writing exercise that could be used in grade-school classrooms.
The software was written with the programming language Python for Symbian OS. The rapid prototyping with Python gave us the opportunity to identify difficulties in the usability of our application early on in the developing process.
